Who we are


The name of our company was derived from the notion that Mt. Kilimanjaro is found about 330 km south of the equator. Therefore, the mountain is found along the route to and from national parks, beaches, cultural sites and other East African natural attractions. The company is locally owned by a Tanzanian mountain climbing guide.

Establishment of Kiliwelcome tours was driven by the immense background of working as Mt.Kilimanjaro and Meru guide. The experience of leading tourists to the summits became adequate for me to organise trekking to the mountains.

Therefore, the company is led by one of the main stakeholders of mountain climbing or the Trustees for Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) who has a bulk of knowledge, experience and skills gained from the profession of mountain climbing guide since 2006.
